A state of total well-being, to achieve holistic health, a child must:

  • Feel cared for, as part of and belonging to a family
  • Experience an integrated environment that addresses individual needs
  • Feel like a valued and productive member of a family
  • Feel like a valued and productive member of a community

Holistic health encompasses:

  • Physical growth and development
  • Psychological wellness
  • Intellectual wellness
  • Emotional wellness
  • Social wellness
  • Spiritual wellness

Integrated into their community, as a member of a stable, loving family, medically fragile children will:

  • Grow stronger physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually;
  • Learn more, and faster;
  • Be healthier in mind, body and soul;
  • Have reduced health care needs and demands;
  • Have reduced health care costs;
  • And have meaningful, valuable, and productive lives worth living.

Medically fragile children have extraordinary needs. Please help! Dream House is making a difference in the lives of these precious children.

Via the Delta SkyMiles Homerun Program, Atlanta Braves right fielder Jeff Francoeur enabled Dream House to help this child and his family in 2008.

Dream House needs:

  • Donations to support daily direct care costs for medically fragile children
  • Corporate sponsors willing to make three-year annual pledges of $50,000 or more
  • Individuals willing to become foster parents and/or adoptive parents
  • Individuals or families who are willing to be trained to provide respite care (for a day or weekend).
  • Volunteers to help with events, office work and community service activities
  • Local fund raising initiatives to help a medically child in your community
